V505 Scuti

This Mira-type variable star was discovered on March 27, 2007 in the field of the BAAVSS's Recurrent Objects Programme (ROP) star EU Scuti (Nova Sct 1949). 

Position:  RA 18 56 14.79 Dec -04 12 49.0 (J2000)

Magnitude:  12.8 - 16.0 CV

Period:  Intially reported as ~335 days, refined to 325 days in March 2015.

This ELL-type close contact binary was found on October 1, 2016 in the field of SDSS J032015.29+441059.3 and is listed as comparison star 139 in the archived AAVSO sequence X16680AAS.

Position:  RA 03 20 11.86 +44 10 37.7 (J2000)

Magnitude: 13.89 - 13.98 V

Period:  Revised  from 0.4989 to 0.49963 days (11.991 hours) in VSX after incorporating ASASSN data.

UCAC4 681-054961 (= ASASSN-V J140205.06+461100.4)

This EW type close contact binary was found during a search for suitable comparison stars to measure an outburst of ASASSN-16fy in June 2016.

Position:  RA 14 02 05.51 +46 11 00.33 (J2000)

Magnitude: 14.5 - 14.85 V

Period: Initially estimated as 0.276616(8) days, revised to 0.276689(2) days after incorporating ASASSN data..
